“Back in the high life” is not only a great song, but a great album too. There’s not a song on the album that I don’t like.

Always loved that record. Steve Winwood has long been one of my favorite artists.

I've always loved the way the horn section punches it up, makes a good arrangement a great one. Winwood gets it, and he always has.

Great song on a great album. I stole my dad's cassette and wore it out.

I've got some bad news for you my friend.

This is a great song! Loving the mandolin playing (I just got a mandolin last month- :))! I was fortunate to see Steve open for Tom Petty about 12 or 13 years ago. I didn't know much of anything about him then, but he put on a fantastic show.

From the same LP, I don't think Steve Winwood would mind me posting this.....his daughter Lilly's version of Higher Love. Simply beautiful.....with Steve on backing vocals.

Winwood is amazing! But, at the risk of a flaming, dig a wistful alternate take on this song...

Winwood is one of my vocal heroes. I saw him a few years back and it was a wonderful show.

Sorry, I should have expanded on that. There's no horns, it's all synth.
