Wishing you happiness and success in the Mouses House
best of luck to ya!
Congrats!! Glad you chose to just do it and take a chance. That took a lot of "intestinal fortitude" on your part. I commend you sir, wish you all the best in the new career and give you a big SALUTE!!!
Disney doesn't interest me at all. But they have some very good dining there. The skills you learn will serve you well wherever you go next.
I did a major career change at 41. The first year was rough, second difficult but better. 13 years later it's been a very rewarding path.
As someone who worked in a lot of different kinds of jobs over the years, I know what it feels like letting go of a former way of life and adapting to a new one. Be comforted in the fact that if you decide to change again, it will be easier next time. I hope this gig goes well, and it's what you want to do and keep doing it. You may not be totally surprised to find yourself doing something altogether different down the line though, because you've a acquired a new skill, being able to change.
Hey RevMike that sounds exciting! congrats and enjoy your new life!
Good luck RevMike. The commute has to be better than going to SI every week. Enjoy!
You gonna change your "handle" here to 'CulinaryCal' instead of RevMike? Congratulations!
That's fantastic RevMike.
I also made a career change in middle age and have been very glad I did. We are blessed to be in a country where this is possible. Best to you!

Good for you...I've taken almost 3.5 years away from the workplace, a time-out, before starting a new line off work after almost 35 years in my old field.
Congrats. Sounds like the worst part is over. Best of luck to you.
