Man that top looks like it's on fire !!! Beautiful
Awesome! The top is drool worthy!
To make certain the top and headstock stay glossy and beautiful, I'm thinking of tossing on a quick lacquer spray.
Alternatively, I have some uv cure polyester. Not certain how that would take to Tru oil though, but I know lacquer works.
idk bro, do your thing, but keep it lookin like that!
Dude, it’s looking like a work of art! Even the back look is sexy as hell.
Tru oil wasn't laying down like I wanted it to. So I put some solarez uv cure polyester on, and it looked OK! But I sanded through (even going carefully) a few spots, and didn't like the final buffed out shine. So I finally came to my senses, and lacquer it is.
Geepers...that thing looks molten!
Moar coats of precat lacquer. Hoooooboy.
how much for the paint stick? lol
The paint stick was leftovers I had after bandsawing out the body lol
The back of the guitar looks stunning. I like it even better than the top.
Couple of updates, nearing completion:
Man, this is ridiculous... so good!
Man, that top really popped! What a stunning looking guitar all round. Beautiful wood choices and beautiful work!
Wow! That is be-yoo-t-fullll!!!
Update: broke the neck, set me back a bit. Roasted maple is brittle, gotta be more careful with my screw hole diameter. It's fixed now, but I about had an aneurysm.
Still looking purty though
Someone's hoarding some sweet arse maple!
What no set neck? tom bridge? TelePaul
Haha, that's coming
