    . . . In two weeks.

It sent shivers down my spine (until I had played it 200 times). Page played a Tele on it.

"Stairway to Heaven" was mostly written by Page. The basic backing track featured Bonham on drums, Jones on electric piano and Page on acoustic guitar. Page played the guitar solo using a Fender Telecaster he had received from Jeff Beck and been his main guitar on the group's first album and early live shows".

And I’m still trying to play it well.

I thought I might learn to play it...but since it has been banned in so many places, I'm learning the Barney theme with a Teletubby segue, and something I call the Power Spongebob Ranger riff:D.

I sure loved it when it, and I were new.

It’s still a great song. I wonder if there’s still time to change the road I’m on though...

I break it out every couple years for a headphone session.

It really is a masterpiece, well written, perfectly produced, great playing, amazing and iconic solo. I love how page doubles the acoustic guitar with electric. Great sound.

I must admit, when I linked the video, I listened to the whole thing.

Probably needs a good carpenter to take a look at it by now.

Still about as good a recording there is...especially on a good stereo cranked to 11!

Page sure knew how to produce an album!

In my opinion the "Presence" album is Page at his finest in producing an album.

If it’s 50 years old that means I’m older, damn! Never learned it. Everyone else was playing it.

    Jimmy Page is now 77.

If my maths is correct, that means he was 27 y/o when he wrote Stairway to Heaven.

What were you doing when you were 27?

Me.. um.. not so much.
