I watched it too and the picture quality was much better than I expected. I had watched clips on YouTube and they were fuzzy but this DVD is great. Definitely worth owning IMO but probably not thru PBS.

Stayed up late to watch that the other night. Love the both of them, but it was especially great to watch Albert schooling SRV in some of the same tones and phrasing Stevie took directly from him.

Great show. I do believe the schooling went back and forth a bit, especially when Al tried to match string bending and literally said "I can't bend that high".

There was a mutual respect there...even though Al was the more experienced and reverred of the two, but Stevie is a hard act to follow, like Robert Cray said "Stevie had complete control over his guitar".

I thought this was going to be a thread about SRV ripping off a large percentage of his licks from Albert King.

Which is a good thing, trust me.

That SRV show is on PBS again next week. There is also a Les Paul concert on a couple of days before that.

Too bad the fund raising occupied more time than the artist's performance.

Live music sure is a rarity on TV these days, isn't it? Thank goodness for PBS!
