What kind of music will you be playing? Fenders Atomic HB has a great crunch/metal tone but is ill adapted for other genres. Any brand '59 gives the classic HB tone. SH-14 by S.D. is similar w a much deeper tone, great w distortion, but is fairly versitile.

What kind of music do you play?

What amp and effects setup are you using?

What do you find lacking or you would like to change about your stock pickups?

Seymour Duncan P Rail (neck) and P Rail+(bridge) with Triple Shot Switches. They do HB tone very well, P90 tone very well and the rails can be worked with to get good tones too. 3 types of Dirty or Clean.

This, or Gibson Burstbucker1 and 2 if you want a little more high end.

Music style is best described as “fusion” effects vary from pedal board , to multi effects or straight in , ie all combinations , bit vague but that’s what it is ,,,

Have you tried adjusting your current pickups CLOSER to the strings?

I get a great fusion tone that sounds good at all gain levels with an Alnico II Pro in the neck and a Custom Custom in the bridge.
