Is swapping WRHB's in a Squier 72 Thinline n101as simple as as getting a replacement pickguard cut for standard size humbuckers and changing pots to 500K ?

I would try the stock pickups with 500k first.

Imo sound isnt different enough to warrant the swap... I mean the "wrhb" is now just a regular hb anyway sooo

How recent is the model? IMHO, the recent ones before the recent VM/CV overhaul sounded pretty decent... I would have grabbed one if it wasn't for the wrong-sized saddles and poor nut/string alignment.
