Does anyone seriously think the Bullet models will go up in value? Serious question here, no snark intended.
Maybe for a little while, but if the Sonic's sales take off, then I don't know. For collectors maybe. 🤷‍♂️
Bullets may never go up much in value but maybe go up in desirability making them hard to find. I bought a Bullet at a pawn shop in 2016 with the intention of using the body for a project. After I played it a while I realized how great it was as a guitar and just left it alone. And then, of course, just like all of us, I tried to find another one with the same set of features. I've seen ONE on Reverb but I hesitated and it was gone, so...while Bullets may not go up in value significantly some of them with particular features may just be not able to be found.

Same. I feel like this is the universal story of the Bullet.

I gig it (and off-brand stuff in general) intentionally because it helps me spot people who want to talk about gear but who think in terms of expense rather than the actual quality of the gear. I just never seem to jive with those guys and at the end of a gig I rarely have the mental energy to manage those conversations well.

I don't think they'll go up in resale value (but FWIW I don't really resell gear).

I do think that down the road they're going to get (have? Keep?) credibility as a sleeper.

I love that the bronco bass has a bridge with 4 individual saddles. I really like mine but the two saddle bridge is terrible. The difference between the E and the A is particularly bad. I'm going to replace the bridge on mine but would be great if that change wasn't necessary. Arctic white as a colour, too!

Cool! I just wish they used durable fretwire on these, because that's not the corner to cut IMO!

It would seem they're getting rid of the Affinity series as well, because there are some similar models there too.

I took another look at these today in person and realized what it is I don't like about the colors. They're too primary! All the colors have that primary brightness you see in children's toys. They seem designed to appeal to an 11-year-old.

I have the Alpine White Sonic Esquire. I love the color. Fun little guitar. Someone in another thread suggested upgrading the humbucker with a P-90. Other than that I don't think I'll do anything other than new strings. I bought it to have fun. That's it.

The mustang is the one I'm interested in. 2 tone sunburst single coil.
Wonder if middle position is humbucker like.

I got mine Monday. I'm a little disappointed. The neck feels like raw wood and has considerable fret sprout. The frets look not grimey but like the metal is coated in something that should have been cleaned off, and the action is really high. On the positive side, the body is nice and in what little playing through an amp that I did, I think the pickup will be okay. My plan is to take the neck off and work it over with 0000 steel wool, front and back, adjust the truss rod, and then fire it back up. I guess its too much to expect too much from a $199 guitar.

I recently picked up a couple Bullet Tele's (one was nicked during delivery, so Fender sent another and let me keep the first one). I was surprised at how playable they are. The neck is clean, fretwork is perfect, the sound is very good. I realize the limitations and shortcuts they took to meet the price, but this is a pretty decent guitar. These are so much better than the Squiers from 10-15 years ago, and I feel its better constructed than my 2013 MIM Fender Tele Deluxe. Hopefully quality stays the same or gets better with the Sonic series, and its not just a bunch of pretty colors and options.
