Squier CVC dead bridge pickup

    My Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster Custom bridge pick-up is dead. Bought that guitar a couple of years ago. Was doing great and yesterday, no sound from the bridge pup. All wires, pots and switch are ok. nocking gently with a screwdriver on the pole pieces does nothing. Completly died.

    That sucks, man. Does resistance show on a meter? Guess if it's dead, you get to shop for a pickup!

    You're sure it's not a dead switch or pot?

    Get a replacement and don't sweat it. Lots out there and all price levels.

    Thanks for your replys guys. I'll double check the switch just to be sure and then shop for a new pup. Interresting link BelairPlayer.

    Was a problem with some of the earlier ones and happened to mine too. Unfortunate, but just replace it with a Tonerider.

    FWIW, I lost the neck pickup on my 52RI - it happens.........
