Just picked up a Squier Classic Vibe Thinline. Its serial # is 311562546. Could anyone tell me the year of manufacture? Thanks

Classic Vibe serial numbers begin with CG and then a factory code. The next two digits represent the year of manufacture. Are you sure you have a CV?

BTW, the headstock should also carry the words "Crafted in China".

The numbers I described were on a brown tag covering the serial number. Below the tag was: s/n CGS 1001. The rest of the numbers were removed. From this I gather it was produced in 2010.

It does have the “crafted in China “ designation.
