I do have other gold guitars, let's see, off-hand I can think of two, whoops make that three, but no gold strats in my collection. About to change that.
I've lusted after one of these a long time. And I found this beat to snot one, super cheap, and made an even cheaper offer, which was just accepted. Psyched!
and i'm not even really a strat guy

That’s looks fantastic! And I’m not usually into gold.

I used to be a hardcore strat guy. Then I wasn’t. Just recently I’ve been realizing that it’s been long time since I really had a strat. I bought a couple last year. Returned one cause it was junk (new player series) and flipped the other cause... cause that’s what happened.

I find myself the last couple months thinking it’s been way too long since I’ve had a really good strat, and that I really should have one. I finally bought the “keeper” Les Paul last year. Maybe by the end of this year I can finagle a keeper strat.

I don't like Strats. I mean, I like how they look. And I love gold. Cool find. We all know - if there's one thing 'ole @blowtorch needs, it's more guitars.

I’ve always wanted to eventually accrue enough of them so that when I finally kick, the old lady can just have everybody who attends the after party take one home as a parting gift.

I kid because I love. I just traded an entire set of pedals I had sitting on a shelf. Because I wanted a . . . backup for every single one that was on my board. Even though I have an exact copy of my board (which sits a the rehearsal space and is beat to hell), sitting at home so I can work on stuff there. And even though I play garden variety, off the shelf pedals. I had to "limit" myself to 8 guitars (plus a lap steel, mind you) by having a 7 guitar case stand, plus one on a wall hanger. Believe, me, I get it.

    Or of cell phones? Hmmm.

It's weird, @blowtorch. That's almost a direct line out of a Floor Model song.

It's only 2:26 long but FF to 1:40 if you can't stand the mystery. https://floormodel.bandcamp.com/track/disaffected

Story - I think it's a great song. And I have a soft spot for it, because our singer had started it years ago but shelved it because he got stuck on one word. He pulled it out one day early in our tenure, and I casually said "how about 'disaffected'?". The rest is (very minor) history.

I relatively recently swapped out my old multi guitar stand (that holds i think 7) in my home workspace area, for one built for 3. The idea was to purposefully de-clutter.
Here are the results of that: 0.jpg
