Bridge or neck? I think we might have to see pics of your cuz I think I've seen different sized routes.

My 2009 Squier Affinity has the neck pickup mounted to the body . It’s simple to pull the pickgaurd and see that it has a single coil route. Other models seem to have a different route .

My '19 Affinity Tele neck is routed from the factory for a HB, but the bridge is normal Tele route.

I had a 2000’s affinity that had a humbucker Route in the neck slot. Not all affinities have a humbucker neck route though

Hard to get a balance with a P90/ Tele combo, at least on mine. P90 sounds muddy. I don't want to change pots and cap because the back Tele pup sounds perfect.

Thanks. I don't have to worry about that because I only use the front pickup. Does the front pickup alone sound good?

It sounds like it needs a 500k pot and different cap (muddy), the back pickup sounds perfect, it most definitely does not need a 500k pot and cap. Thats what i mean by balance. The middle position on the switch sounds good.
I can't really find an amp setting where i like the tone from both pickups, understand?

Yes, I understand. I have four electric guitars, and only use the neck pickup, on each of them. Thanks for the information about the pot & cap, I've made a note of that.

ADDENDUM: I went surfing and I see the Emerson Custom sell a 3-WAY TELECASTER PREWIRED KIT. The standard Tele pickups get a 250 K pot, the P-90 and humbuckers get a 500 K, in the respective kits. I have learned something useful!

Yes- Emerson kits look like they have what you need!!
You can probably have more fun (if you can call it that) by getting your components and soldering up yourself!

Perhaps, but if I use the Emerson kit, odds are that when I'm finished it will still sound like a guitar.
