You mean that expensive rice tastes better? A richer, warmer taste with better crunch as it breaks while cheaper rice tastes flat and sterile with a horrible fizzy crunch? [emoji14]

If you don't like rice I would have thought the price is irrelevant.

Posting Fezz's idea here might keep us in check!

A bit of current GAS is working. I've been researching all the imported Stingray basses. It makes no sense to add a third, ha! Here's the current bass lineup:

    • ESP LTD B-204FM - Made in Korea w/ basswood body, and a transparent (dark) black finish over flamed maple on top w/ 3 EQ. The body shows some purple-like color depending on the light source. The 4 in the model number indicates no. of strings. It's a keeper.
    • Peavey Dyna-Bass - Made in USA w/ Schaller tuners+ Schaller bridge and saddles (5 string). Features: active/ passive switch, bolt-on neck with microtilt. This 3 EQ model was a very expensive bass.

I take Fezz's advice and write music to play on my guitar (and for you to play on yours, but that's another story...)

i wonder why it's so hard for the owners to dip in and say "yep it's broken, we're working on it..."

Strat-Talk doesn't hold a candle to this place. Nor to Gretsch-Talk.

TDPRI and Gretsch-Talk RULE the ROOST~

I spent a lot of time on Strat-Talk years ago. There are some wonderful members there. But, a weird vibe developed over there, from some of the membership who felt they were all-knowing kings of the hill, with nasty attitudes. Pretty distasteful, really. And lots of personal-life whining going on there as well, which drove me away. I was happy to vacate the place - no where near the overall quality of TDPRI and G-T.

We've got our own Strat talking right here, which is fine for me.

well we each have our preferences, but you're basically saying that as long as your favorite pubs survive, you really don't care if someone else's burn to the ground.

No, I wouldn't wish that on anyone else's "favorite pub".

Please allow me to re-word my thoughts for better clarity - and to allow you to rest easy tonight.

S-T is not important to me. The place developed a weird vibe and I was happy to vacate! I do have a few favorite fellows there, though. :)

I can find all the Strat Talking that I need right here.

In fact, this forum and Gretsch-Talk are the two most civilized, mature, and respectful guitar forums I've ever visited. I like that!

Did you have to mention pubs burning to the ground? You're a cruel man Mr Merrick. :(
