Been a long time since I've posted here! Over at Strat Talk I'm known as "Silvercrow", still the hadsome devil depicted in my avatar!

So I understand that for a small fee, y'all will start a special forum for Strat Talk refugees? I don't see any posts there later than 8:45 A.M.

Most of us are goin' through withdrawal...

So a shout out and big HELLO to all my former TDPRI buds. I was posting here regularly when the likes of "Ole Fuzzy" haunted this page...

You have to be fluent in Chinese to read half the posts here but welcome.
I was forced to join the gear page again yesterday for similar reasons.

I see this site problem effecting a lot of posters. We're all interested in guitar for lots of things and we have our favorites. To sum it up, we miss talking about all those things readily. I guess its testing our patience...in a first world problem kind of way.

It sure is important to a lot of folks isn't it?

I know I miss it too. Take this time as a great opportunity to just play that darn thing and get off the social aspect of it..for awhile.

Now I sound like I'm preaching. I'll try to sign off...with one post, wish me luck.

I'm not on Facebook or anything else. Strat Talk is my lone source of contact with the outside world.

TGP has always been a good spot for luthier, or electronic (as in engineering) questions. Luthiers don't really hang out on ST, and few if any engineers. It's been awhile since I actually posted on TGP, they get technical over there! ;)

Hey Brian, yes, good to see you again here. Remember you helped me get my amp back from that amp tech down in the Lone Star State, after he took my payment, then blew me off for 6 months? I think he soiled his linens when the Texas Rangers showed up at his door! ha ha. In any event, I got that amp back right quick!

Based on the foreign-language broadcasts I see here I can only guess what happened to Strat-Talk.

"Tone Guru" in the alternate universe of ST.

Hey Bro! Good to hear from ya!

Yep- that was quite the ordeal- for me and for you. Who knows how many folks might've gotten 'taken'. You know in all the years buying and selling stuff here, on two gun boards I'm on and of course Strat Talk- he was the ONLY guy who tried to take me "in total"; I did have an overseas deal that went south but part of that was my stupidity for shipping before getting the full amount (no good deed goes unpunished as they say).

I don't think so Art. And I'm not well-versed enough to make an educated guess as to what happened.

Anyway- as was posted above- yes, we do like to discuss our guitars and related equipment. I TRY to balance my time on the board with playing but theres just something about talking with like minded folks...for all over the world, that's pretty darn cool!

Hey Hiker- yeah, but ONLY on the calendar! I forget what year I stopped posting here, but since 2003 only 1,100 some posts- LOL!

I don't own a Tele right now (kinda turned into an "LP" guy!) but I still love me some TELECASTER as Fuzzy used to yell!

In my neck of the woods Strat-Talk and TDPRI have been mostly inaccessible for the last few days. Strat Talk more so.

I think I'd read that the same company owned both sites....so there's a common tech issue? The double/triple/quad post issue is at both sites too. I think when you post the text is being inserted into a new row in the database but the site isn't refreshing so people hit Post multiple times.
