Tourists get Cheez-Whiz, locals get provalone. Provalone on a pizza is okay.

I’m not going to order it, but I’d eat some in a pinch! But generally I’m not a fan of gourmet pizza. It’s fine for others though, I’m just a simple guy. Whenever I try the fancy stuff I wind up a little disappointed.

Since moving down here, I cannot for the life of me find a decent pizza like I could back up in Philly. Same deal with steaks, although Tony Luke did open a shop here in H-town which will work.

My 2 favorite pizza shops back home (Tony's owned by a mobster & Ray's Pizza) both will make a pepperoni pizza steak which is my absolute favorite. It's a steak with mozzarella, pizza sauce, & pepperoni.

If you ain't drooling now like I am, you're not human. Those are the best steaks hands down!

But to answer your question, Dominos makes a cheesesteak pizza which is alright, but way too expensive.

And I like haggis! I became very fond of it after many pub crawls in Dunoon. Eventually got to where I'd eat it while I was sober.

It's acceptable if you don't call it pizza. Ha!

I lived in Houston for about a decade. Pinks Pizza in the Heights is OK, but a little pricey. Now I am up in Huntsville. I started making my own.

Just like guitars, there are no rules for creativity. I'd try it if I ever saw it on a menu. I always try out the unusual pizza. The best pizzas that I have ever had were very unique.

Two things that make you stand out as "Not-A-Texan".....steak with mozzarella, pizza sauce, and pepperoni....ordering that could get you shot in many Texas towns......and "Domino's". ('nuff said)

Had a great one at Rudino's in Garner, NC.

Good crust + good sauce + good toppings + real cheese = good pizza. The garbage some places serve on a roll and call a cheese steak wouldn't be any better on a pizza

You can whiz on your cheesesteak if you want. I always get provolone on mine.

FWIW, cheesesteak should have mushrooms, onions and bell peppers also. All of which DO belong on a Pizza. lol

Today, Texas is composed of two groups of people:

    1) People so new to the State they know almost nothing about Texas; and

    2) People who have come to Texas within the last 40 years and once knew some real Texans.

This reminds me of what my aunt did when additional guests showed up unannounced. She'd add more rice and carrots to the stew, water down the lemonade and bring out those leftover sweet potatoes. At what point is there so little lemon that you can't call it lemonade anymore?

Sorry, forgot to take images of the Papa Murphy with extra cheese, extra sauce, black olives and artichokes - biggest size they have. You set the oven to preheat at 375, sprint over to get the unbaked pizza (5 blocks) and back and ease it up to 425 and it is ready to go in there in no additional time. Yes, I'm careful with the oven! There's guitars here, you know! :^)

Anyway, I still have not replaced my photobucket thingie. We'll see.
