Some of you may possibly remember I've had issues with my jerk neighbors. These are the self-entitled derps whose mother is a "leader" in our community so they think they are immune from good neighbor standards.

They have two dogs that bark incessantly. They have two young kids that throw toys and sticks across the fence into my yard. The kids also think it's great fun to throw toys and balls at my plate glass bathroom window. They like to run their 100 watt floodlight that points at that same window, illuminating my bedroom like the sun. They came onto my property and mangled my front hedge.

Getting the police or animal control to do their job is impossible because it's a small community and their mother is the boss of those local agencies.

Well... good news! They sold their house house and they have moved!!

When it listed, my wife and I were happy but just a bit reserved in our joy because it still remained unknown what kind of people the NEW neighbors were going to be.

Soon, we heard the sound of kids next door and dogs. We were reluctant to look who was moving in. After a few days, I decided to go next door and meet them.

I went next door and knocked. The door opened and a man answered with his wife standing next to him. Both of them had gray hair and I would put them at around early sixties in age. Lew and Norlene. Super nice people from Sacramento.

I talked to them a bit from a distance and we exchanged phone numbers. I told them to call me if I'm doing anything that bugged them. I told them I have a music room in the unit behind my house and if they can hear the sound of my guitar playing, to give me a ring so we can figure out the sound tolerances.

Norlene says "Oh, you play guitar? So does Lew!" He's a retired pastor who taught music.

So, they have no kids or dogs. They're nice and Lew plays guitar! YAAAAAAY!

Thanks! Yes, I agree. One of the first things they did was Lew came over and asked if his landscapers could come onto my property to trim the hedge that borders our property and is on his side. Well, heck yeah. I'm looking forward to being able to play guitar with him.

Great news! I used to have neighbors that were, to say the least, completely different from us. I'll bet they threw a huge party when we moved out.:D

my neighbour to the right of me , was one of my employees that had an authority issue , I ended up suspending him for insubordination , this lead to many days of vandalism and police interjections , until he finally got arrested and convicted of theft over 5000.00 from the federal government ( blowing a 25 year career out the window) at last count the police told him to leave me alone or he would be charged with criminal harassment. we havent spoken in 5 years , this silence is golden!

I am glad you had some possitive movement in your situation , Kudos!

Well, it did not go without an answer. My 100 watt MetroPlex half stack had arrived that very day and I gave them a demo of a full volume E chord at 10pm with the rig pointed at their house and at a distance of around 25 feet. Unfortunately, my other neighbors got the same demo. However, the message was received loud and clear and the light was turned off. We ended up getting a blind for that window so the very few and brief times they had it on were not a problem for us anymore.
