I've said this before; I'm doing this for fun and I'll never dive in beyond a couple hundred bucks.

I have a good friend who is obsessed with this and I hear about it constatly when we hang out.

She new that there going to a run on Shiba Inu and about 10 days ago I bought $97.00 worth of Shiba (I bought $100 but coinbase keeps 3%.)

    10 days......this is this morning.

My Shib is up to $195.98........it's been 10 days. I can see how someone with an addictive or "get rich quick" vibe could get addicted to this.

All I did was download an app and push a couple buttons. I've doubled my money.

I still think that this is a potentially dangerous fad but there's something going on here.

I thnk when my shib hits $270 I 'm go to sell, sell, sell and buy an Analogman pedal.

I feel like Bond in Casino Royal. :cool:o_O

Yah I just checked my bitcoin.
    $800 invested worth $1300 now.

But I've been holding it for over 5 years.

The ANKR that i bought last year for $200 is today worth $100

Think you're going to have to go deeper to make enough for that pedal ...

I get several emails every day telling me I've got thousands of dollars income from my bitcoin investments - all I've got to do to receive it is give them my bank details. That's not a bad return on a total investment of $0.00.

I sold a Strat for $1700 and have doubled it to $3400. Crypto has its benefits.

Often.....yes. This is a lady that I've sung with at more weddings and funerals than you can imagine. She's a dear friend. WE've sang so many duets in so many balconies. I worry because she's behaving like she knows bitcoin secrets and will take over a small villiage in 3 years. Credit where credit is due......I did what she said and doubled by 100 bucks in 10 days. She can carry on.

5 years ago Bitcoin was $700+- today it’s $59,000+- How did you end up $1,300? Even SP500 has more than doubled in 5 years.

I bought $100.00 worth of doge and it went to $130.00 fast. So I bought $100.00 more. So my $200.00 investment is now at $163.00. It went to $171.00 a few days ago. So yeah that is my luck........

If you are trading, remember there are safe coins, like USDT, that you probably want to at at the peak of that wave, before somebody large withdraws and it sinks again. You don't necessarily have to go Fiat

Once again, I’m here to beat the drum for index funds. Please make your own choices, but if you invested that same $800 5 years ago in an index fund tracking the S&P 500, you would have had virtually the same return with very little risk.

ETA: shoot, I ran the wrong number, I thought you said $500. If you put $800 in an S&P 500 index fund in 2016, it would be worth $2,077.27 today.

    I know I know

all I gotta do is get in on the ground floor and develop an inverse upline with a multi synergoned network. The accumulated acme points will level me up to "grand poobah" status, which you can trade in for a maroon aztec. It's a sure thing as long as we all count rosery beads while saying holy doge and mary's. Leteth doth maketh shall ascend with the apes to the dimond hand heavens.

disclamier: I hope that is read tongue and cheek and good fun.

An allegory on cryptocurrency I posted here previously. :D

A lot of monkeys lived near a village.
One day a merchant came to the village to buy these monkeys!
He announced that he will buy the monkeys at $100 each.

The villagers thought that this man is mad.

They thought how can somebody buy stray monkeys at $100 each?
Still, some people caught some monkeys and gave it to this merchant and he gave $100 for each monkey. This news spread like wildfire and people caught monkeys and sold them to the merchant.

After a few days, the merchant announced that he will buy monkeys at $200 each. The lazy villagers also ran around to catch the remaining monkeys. They sold the remaining monkeys at $200 each.

Then the merchant announced that he will buy monkeys at $500 each! The villagers start to lose sleep! They caught six or seven monkeys, which was all that was left and got $500 each.

The villagers were waiting anxiously for the next announcement.

Then the merchant announced that he is going home for a week. And when he returns, he will buy monkeys at $1000 each! He asked his employee to take care of the monkeys he bought. He was alone taking care of all the monkeys in a cage. The merchant went home.

The villagers were very sad as there were no more monkeys left for them to sell it at $1000 each. Then the employee told them that he will sell some monkeys at $700 each secretly. This news spread like fire. Since the merchant buys monkey at $1000 each, there is a $300 profit for each monkey.

The next day, villagers made a queue near the monkey cage.
The employee sold all the monkeys at $700 each. The rich bought monkeys in big lots. The poor borrowed money from money lenders and also bought monkeys.

The villagers took care of their monkeys and waited for the merchant to return. But nobody came!

Then they ran to the employee. But he had left too!

The villagers then realized that they have bought the useless stray monkeys at $700 each and unable to sell them!

The recent selection of ethereum and its blockchain gives credence to those that say it will overtake bitcoin and be the dominant crypto.

Smart move. $100 is enough to make a bit, but not so much to be painful if it disappears. Kind of like beer money, but now "pedal money".
