Carl Larsson ranks pretty high up for me.

Hi again

It’s quite a big and rambling list. But, if I had to pick a fav., it might be the late Ralf Hotere.

New Zealand artist. Not terribly well known internationally, with the general art going public at least. Prices at auction for the more substantial works range from the tens of thousands to the lower hundreds of thousands, US$. Highest was just under a quarter mil, if I recall correctly.*

* not that price necessarily equates with quality, mind. As an aside, this Marti Friedlander print of Hotere (Ralph Hotere - The Artist's Studio, Port Chalmers, 1979) fetched NZ$6000 I believe.

Ibmean painted art. I like todd schorr. Joe coleman, salvador dali. I have seen a joe coleman painting and it was pretty small. This guy paints with a one hair brush most of the time. I saw it at the giger museum in gruyere. i was pretty excited when i saw it. And john because seriously, i mean.... Far out!
François Boucher, especially his pastoral paintings with people, farm animals, and background scenery, like "Charms of Country Life."

I have different preferences fir different applications.....

I've always liked Rebecca Guays watercolor work, but it's hard to find non Magic the Gathering fantasy prints from her.

Speaking if fantasy, I like some of Kit Raes stuff (and found his muff relevant site years after I'd seen his fantasy art). Also several artists VTES has used over the years, especially Heather Kreiter and Lawrence Snelly.

Art just to look at?
Escher, some Pollock..... I like alot if things, but not much for Monet. I has its place in history, but not my bag.
