How about some Warehouse Guitar Speaker G10C or G10CS? They are very reasonably priced, too.

I really like the Weber speakers I have had in 2 Fender amps.

I like both Weber and WGS. I also like those Eminence Alessandro speakers, although I've only tried the 12" version but it worked with Fender sounds.

Tons of options, you really just have to pick something.

My 66 BFSR had four Italian Jensen C10Rs when I got it. Initially wasn't real happy to see those ####### speakers! But the fact is I was basing my low opinion of new Jensens on what the internet told me.
If that amp hadn't burnt up in a fire I never would've changed those speakers. I didn't mind them and their fairly low sensitivity is nice in an SR. When I rebuild it I might try the P10RF, even lower sensitivity.
I'm not a fan of overly sensitive speakers in big Fenders. Kinda rules out anything Eminence or Celestion makes these days.

Thanks Bobby- I'll give them some time and see how they sound after some time. I think they are quite new or unused.

I’d say your mix of Eminence — alnico and ceramic — sounds like a good idea, but you’ll need to be sure to the about both sensitivity and power handling. That combo of the ceramic Alessandro and the 1028k may be just fine, since the alnicos are rated for 35w. I’d also suggest checking out the Speed Shop A10Q’s, but they’re only rated at 20w. Your idea may well be the best bet.
