So I've got a Fishman loudbox artist that I sing through with some guys on bass and drums. Its got a pretty good sound but is a little quiet-mostly looking for vocals. What is a decent powered speaker to plug into it to get a bit more volume? Not looking to break the bank- would like to stay under $300 or so. I am a bit ignorant on these but my understanding is that I can run a line out from the loudbox artist to a powered speaker? thanks

I'm interested in this answer, too. I know there's that XLR, DI box output for plugging into a soundboard or audio interface. Can it be connected through a phono adapter directly into a PA speaker?

PA speakers, if they are built to standards that professionals need, use XLR inputs. This can be connected between the XLR type DI out on the soundbox and the XLR input of the powered speaker.
If you with to amplify bass and drums, you will need a 15" system
Mackie, eventhough made in China, have a fairly good name.
Alto is the cheaper brand but if used with care can last a few years.
