Someone got out of the music business and has a few replacement speakers to offer me. 3 of my amps I know have the stock speakers. Not sure about my old Blues Junior cause it has an Eminence Legend. The other amps are Peavey Classic 30, Peavey Red stripe Bandit 112, Laney AOR 3012. I am wondering if anyone recommends any of the following speakers to load into any of my 4 amps:

    Eminence Swamp Thang

    Celestion G12T-75

Guitar Warehouse (unsure of model yet)

I might drop the swamp thang in the Jr.

If you try the Swamp thang in the blues Jr i would at least try the Legend in the Classic 30 but depending on if the WGS speaker is an ET65 or Veteran 30 then I would try those in the Classic 30 first. The GT75 I would try in the Laney and either the Legend or Swamp Thang depending which one is left in the Bandit.

For me it all hinges on the unknown WGS speaker! :)

Just picked up the 2 warehouse guitar speakers, they're Veteran 30!

Unfortunately no Swamp Thang. It was already gone.

So trying to decide if i should put them in their own separate extension cabinets so I can employ them with whichever amp when I want. What's your thoughts?

There were like 6 Celestion G12T-75 available, but i didnt buy any...maybe i should grab some another time?

New G12-T75? If so, save your dough unless cheap. Might be an upgrade on the HH on the Laney if that's what's there. Not on a Game.

The Swamp Thang is a speaker worthy of the most discerning player. Go ahead and drop that bad boy into the Blues Junior.

IIRC the Classic 30 uses a 16 ohm speaker.

Ugh. I got confused the first time I researched this model. I just located the 1993 manual again for my particular version and it reads...

    30 W RMS 16 or 8ohms
(Bias must be reduced to measure)

    External speaker jack:
Provided for connection of external speaker cabinet. Minimum total impedance is 16 ohms.

The wording makes it confusing cause earlier in the manual it said nothing about the adjustable bias, it just said 16 or 8 ohm.

The BJ is the only one that deserves a speaker upgrade.
