A few years ago I bought a Silvertone 1474 TwinTwelve. With it came a second chassis. It is missing OT and some components, but the PT is still there. Would you rebuild it, or perhaps use the chassis and PT as a vehicle for something else?
On a side note, are 2 sets of 6L6s each with its own OT equivalent to 4 6L6s with one OT all else being equal?

The first Marshall 100 watt amps used two output transformers.

Rebuild it as another Twin Twelve. It's a perfect opportunity to clone the one you have.

If you want a different amp start with a different chassis.

Since you already have a stock one, then I'd find a OT and make this a modded one. Maybe make it one channel and stack that unused 12ax7 half in front for an extra gain stage? Or keep one channel as stock and use the second channel to switch that extra gain stage in front?

This looks like a fun project!

    Cheers,
    Joe
