    So I get a newsletter from a company that I do some business with, reminding me to hurry, and not miss the exclusive fall apparel sale!!

    Y’know, major holiday ahead, I have friends that would love a brand F tee shirt or hat, and my daughter loves a nice hoodie...so I wander to the site, hoping there are some bargains to be had.

    “look!” I think, “cool faded tee for $10!” and click...*{#%!! It’s only available in a small. “Oooh - there’s a cool hoodie!” *click* “oh, it’s only available in a small and a double XL.”

    Wait a sec...nothing I see is available in all sizes. It’s all odds and ends of clearance and discontinued stuff - this is no fall sale - this is a CLEARANCE sale!

    lured me in with the old bait-and-switch...I’ve been had.

    time to unsubscribe from the brand F “newsletter”...

    I see this all the time, even on items not "On Sale". Spam?.....nah! Just SOP. (Standard Operating Procedure)

    I keep getting emails from Select Blinds. I bought three wood blinds when they were 50% off. Then they kept sending me emails about 35% off and take of an extra 15% this weekend only. So I bought another wood blind. Then they had another sale 35% off but take off an additional 15% off for whatever reason so I bought two more. If they keep this up, I'll have wood blinds on all my windows...

    (btw, great quality American custom made to order hardwood blinds for a GREAT deal at 50% off their original asking prices.)

    At what point does 35% + an additional 15% become the original asking price. We’ve got stores in the UK where everything is always on a special deal. It becomes meaningless.
