Thought I’d revive this old thread and see how many from SC are still around. I know there’s a few because they welcomed me to the forum. I’m from the Upstate in SC, Anderson to be precise. I have been trying to find someone to jam with blues and maybe some classic country but haven’t been able to find anyone. Even using Craigslist I couldn’t find anyone to play with. We have an awesome guitar shop here in Anderson called simply enough The Guitar Shop. The owner is great and they buy, sell and trade guitars. I have done some pretty awesome trades including for my new Player Plus Nashville Tele.

Hey, this is cool! I think I've missed this thread as well. Lived in Greenville for 23 years, then moved to Fort Mill (across state line from Charlotte for the non-Carolinians) about 5 years ago.

Cheraw, SC, home of Dizzy Gillespie. Born and raised in Charlotte; moved out in 1980. Lived in Orange (VA), Chapel Hill, Richmond, Winston-Salem, Rockingham (NC), Tega Cay (SC, just north of Fort Mill), and retired in Cheraw. Here to stay.

I was born an Horry County sandlapper in Loris, a small town a few miles from Myrtle Beach. Living in Maryland now where I met and married my wife. Heartstrings are still pulling me to get back there. As this song says, like the roots of a live oak tree.

Nothing in SC for me but 2 ex-wives, some old friends I see every now and then, and a lot of cemeteries to visit.
