That’s my book. I played about 70 gigs as a high school senior, 1967-1968. Nine piece soul cover band, gold tuxes, steps. A tight four piece horn section, killer drummer, solid bass and keys. Just blowing the roof off.

We never bought in to the British Invasion. No horns, no funky rhythm, just blah. I guess it caught on anyway, go figure.
