I know that I probably ain't been around posting much the last few days - but - my uncle (on Mom's side of the family) lost his two-year battle with lung cancer on Wednesday evening and passed away peacefully at his home. He was 74.

Surprisingly, my Mom (who's usually pretty emotional about losing someone in the family or someone close to her) is holding up well - mainly because we know that he's finally at peace and no longer suffering and walking streets of pure gold.

I hate, hate, hate, hate cancer!! It's robbed me of my Grandfather (1991), an aunt (1997) another uncle (2014) and the most recent passing this week. Unfortunately, cancer runs in my family on both sides.

I don't think that his passing has hit me really just yet. However, I take comfort in the knowledge that he's not suffering anymore and that I will see him again someday.

Love & miss you, uncle Roy!

Stay well TT, tough times. I've lost so many family members, I'm getting kind of numb from it. Condolences and best wishes for you and yours.

Thanks, fellas. I guess, in a way, his passing has affected me unknowingly because ever since Thursday (the day after he passed) I've just been real cranky and snappy with my parents. :(

Thanks, Clint. Unfortunately, I think that's what's been happening to me - and I don't like that feeling, to be honest.
