I was thinking about this on the way home yesterday. Cinnamon Girl from Neil Young was playing and it's really the only song by him I like. I think he's very talented, but just can't get into anything else he does.

Another one for me is "Yesterdays" by GnR. Can't stand any of their other songs besides that one. Don't know why.

    Hows about you?

Well...kinda ashamed to admit this, but "Party in the USA" by Miley Cyrus. Got a great hook and actually some really nice vocal phrasing. I am not into modern pop music at all, but for some reason I can't help but like the tune.

Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself" written by Ed Sheeran. How can you hate a song with lines like

    "My mama don't like you
    And she likes everyone"?

Actually all Oasis songs that I like. I've sorta warmed up to Noel Gallagher as a solo artist and rock alum over the years, but the band itself always seemed to go out of its way to be unlikable.

Undisclosed Desires and Starlight by Muse. Matt Bellamy is undoubtedly a superb guitar player, but his falsetto lead vocals normally grate with me - like a fingernail scraping down a chalk board. However on these two tracks he exercises more restraint, and Chris Wolstenholme's bass playing on both is truly first class!

"(Hit Me)...Baby One More Time" by Britney Spears. It's just about everything I dislike in music, except that I like the song.

And if you rock it, it's pretty fun to play.

The "Let's Dance" album by Bowie. I know the OP asked for one song, but I like that whole album and don't really dig the rest of Bowie's output.

I love "Who Says You Can't Go Home"
A double whammy. I only like the "country" version featuring Bon Jovi and Jennifer Nettles.
I can't stand any other songs by Bon Jovi...or Jennifer Nettles/Sugarland.

Well honestly, every one-hit wonder probably qualifies. Except of course for the ones where you don't even like the one hit. Which is really probably most of them... anyway...

There's nothing special about saying that "Melt with You" is the only Modern English song that you like - that's pretty much the opinion of the entire planet, minus a few diehard fans.

So I guess to be specific, what we want is one song from an artist with a relatively extensive and well-known discography. But how is that determined? I have several friends who know every Flower Kings song ever made, and it's a lot. But it's kinda meaningless for me to say to this forum that "There is More to this World" is the only one that really grabbed me.

Sigh. Okay, keep it simple, stupid. The only KISS song that doesn't utterly turn me off is "Hard Luck Woman."

I don't like or dislike bands. I don't actually know any of them, although I did meet the lead guitarist from Loverboy once.

I like or dislike songs. There are many bands that have maybe only one song that I like.

There are many bands that have lots of songs that I like and some that I don't like, but I can't think of any band that I like all of their stuff.

I'm really not into rap or hippity-hop but I do like "One Shot" by Eminem.

My sense is that the OP wants us to name bands that we don't like. Lots of people hate U2 and Nickelback. John Mayer gets a lot of animosity on this site. But some of those "haters" might actually like one song from those bands/artists.
