Do you still have that crybaby...?
First song I thought of.
I would add phaser to VH - Ain't talking 'bout love and others.
White Stripes - Big Muff !
Yes I still have that Cry Baby, that, a Maestro Super Fuzz & a early 90's Big Muff (V7) are the only effect boxes I've ever owned. I keep 'em in a zip lock bags with desiccant and they still sounds great with no scratchiness.
I dont know man, he might even be in tune without that.
"Easy" by the Commodores - fuzz pedal, cable, and a mixing console input.
Whenever I do that solo with OD pedals into a nice tube amp, it just sounds plain wrong
You're gonna need a Digitech Whammy to nail this intro.
Sultans of Swing - compressor
Rocky Mountain Way - Heil gurgle box
Aqualung - have to find that verging-on-feedback zone t whatever volume you're playing at
Money For Nothing - partially-cocked wah
Andy Summers was way more about the Electric Mistress than chorus.
I play in a Pink Floyd tribute so I'm finding nailing sounds to be more important than in previous bands. Fortunately, the other guitarist tries to get every sound (and succeeds!) so I'm good with delay, fuzz, Rotosphere (for the DSOTM stuff), and a touch of phase. Oh yeah, a talk box for Pigs!
I'll add, Born on the Bayou tremolo.
Made me think of this
Subterranean Homesick Alien - Space Echo
Gotta be talk box for living on a prayer
Aqualung guitar= HiWatt amp volume on 10 in studio, Les Paul Jnr (from what I read somewhere)
I knew that was going to be the clip before I clicked the link
Yeah - MB's playing on that album is what inspired me to get a LP Jr., in all of its P90 glory.
I can get very close at <reasonable> volume levels playing straight through my Cornford Harlequin, but for bigger gigs I need to goose my 50w Koch MT with an OD to get into that zone.
Cranking a Hiwatt must be a LOT of fun, though
Satisfaction....gotta have the fuzz.
Lonely Boy works fine with just a Strat's vibrato bar....it nails it so perfectly, I believe this is what he used in the studio.
Aqualung was p90 into a Hornsby Skewes treble booster into the cranked amp. Love a tone like that!
Probably the only boxes you'd ever need to, nice, really really nice.
And an octaver for 7 nation army...
Any Angus young riff without a school uniform! just wouldn't work
