Sweet Jane. Dick Wagner @ Steve Hunter on guitars. 2 LP Juniors into old Marshall 50’s…… so timeless and classic. Ya don’t hear great music like this anymore… Steve wrote the amazing intro on the road after gigs. Bunch of ideas he tied together…. Brilliant. And Lou….
Steve and Dick were also the 2 guitarists on Aerosmith’s version of Train Kept a rollin…(a canned live audience). no credits given..

Steve Khan bought an ES-335 with active pickups, went straight to the studio and played this killer solo, then went right back to the music store and returned the guitar because he thought the active electronics were too hard to mess with. Wonder who ended up buying that guitar.

Leslie West - Mississippi Queen...

Isn't this one of the not properly credited Ronno recordings? (IE, the ORIGIONAL version of Elton John's Mad Man Across the Water was Ronno but DeFree tried screwing with the Elton John/Bernie Tarplin machine so they recut it with someone else pretending(trying?) to be Ronno... The "greatest hits" version IS the original Ronson Version)

While I've always loved the tone on anything Warren Haynes or Derek Trucks have recorded, my all time solo and tone probably has to be the solo on Aqualung. Just on the edge of feedback, but totally under control.....

In my tube amp coccoon.

I love the plunky sound of the guitar in the solo at about 3:00 and again at about 4:00. I will add that the noodling bass throughout "Maggie May" has a cool sound, and has a spontaneous quality about it, like an experienced bassist improvising it on the first take. I'd like to know the story behind it.

The guitar fills in "Night Moves" remind me a little bit of the guitar in "Maggie May." Perfect sound in terms of tone and the way it sits in the mix.

Beautiful clean strat tone.

Andy’s solo on this jam sounds fantastic.

Simon Jarret of Kingsley Amplification on this jam tune with his old band Rocket Science:

OK, if you’re going there, I’m going here:
