How about this obscure one? Maggie by Redbone. There is a guitar played through a Leslie throughout the song.

Hmm, I always thought El Goodo was a Univibe. Put it this way, when I play it through the u/v effect on my digtech expression pedal (with a Strat on bridge/middle) it totally nails the sound.

i think Gilmour uses a Leslie on 'Echoes', at least in the Live At Pompeii version. then again, there's a definite Leslie on the Rick Wright's keys/organ during the tune, so it makes it kind of hard to tell if Gilmour is using one too. i'll admit that while i'm a massive Gilmour fan and know he's had one in his rig for ages, i have a hard time in general discerning between Leslies, chorus and other similar effects.

[the break down in this particular version of 'Echoes', @7:32, is one of my favorite moments in all of Floyd's recordings. what i wouldn't give to be able to sit right in front of that massive PA of WEM and Hiwatts! :D.]

Pretty sure the solo on pearl jams Alive has a Leslie/vibratone in there.

He was the first one to a have a charted record with Leslie on guitar.

I've been chasing that sound for years. In my opinion (never humble on these topics) Their are only two ways to get a Leslie sound with all facets correct.

    Facet list:
    • Tweeter speed
    • Rotor speed
    • Tweeter ramp speed
    • Rotor ramp speed
    • Rotor stop
    • Tweeter distortion (it's own thing)
    • Rotor distortion
    • tubey midrange blur
    • overall slight compression

Drag 90 lbs of furniture with a wank0 interface box around or buy a NEO Ventilator with their excellent but overpriced foot switch.

Their are many pedals that come close but that's the one that totally gets it.

This looks very informative. I'll bet you get great sounds from this.

If you google the product and watch or listen to the samples/demo files you'll see that the unit was developed for organists (just like the furniture version).

It's stupid expensive but if you're picky it's the one.

That's why they can charge what they do. If the alternative is hauling a piece of furniture to gigs, it's a great price. If you can get "almost as good" with a Boss pedal, it looks a little extravagant.

Why is the footswitch necessary if the main unit is mounted on your board with all your other stuff? I could be wrong, but it appears the two switches on the main unit do the same thing.
