I would suggest Dylan's Desolation Row. Could be one of those crazy Netflix originals.

This could be a movie, or at least an interlude in one.
    It evokes a certain situation.

I love this song. Maybe the first SD song I really liked.

The entire Black Love album by the Afghan Whigs was rumored to have been possibly an option for a movie, but something I currently read from Dulli was that he requested developing something film-wise into their Elektra signing contract was more accurate, & Elektra agreed. Whether it could have been Black Love or not would be up to him. It's common knowledge he was friends with Ted Demme.

Regardless, I think Afghan Whigs Gentlemen & Black Love would make an excellent storyline in film.

First thoughts that popped in my head were the TV reviews I read that cast the Don Draper character from "Mad Men" as embodying the dude in "Deacon Blues"(sans the saxophone).

This could be a film in the style of Brassed Off or The Full Monty..

There already is a movie “Hurricane” about Ruben Carter. Denzel is quite excellent in it, as usual.

Pretty much almost any Johnny Cash song.

A boy name Sue. The story of a troubled teen.

Folsom Prison Blues. Man in Prison for poor life choices and daydreaming of life on the outside.

One piece at a Time. Blue collar working man concocts a scheme to bring a little piece of the good life home with him.

Walk the Line has of course already been done.

“Me and Billy the Kid” by Joe Ely

A psuedo-nuevo-surreal Western with anachronistic devices throughout a narrative of a dysfunctional love triangle.
