Rapper on Saturday Night live. He came out and according to my puzzled search afterward, was trying to coin a "brilliant" new catch phrase to define his new image. As I recall he labeled himself a player. He kept saying over and over "I'm the P", and other variations of being a P. I guess he ran that concept by his entourage and no one contradicted the concept. Worst repetitive lyric that I've encountered. Sad.

Hi.

he wrote this opus in 15 minutes and it contains a grand total of 19 words.

This just reminded me of something. I vaguely recall that about 20 years ago (yikes) I read an old review of some Led Zeppelin album, and the reviewer wondered just how many times Robert Plant could squeeze ‘baby’ into a song.

So, I deliberately wrote a song filled with ‘baby.’ The only thing I remember about it now is that it had 18 instances of ‘baby’ scattered through it.

“I Love a Rainy Night“ by Eddie Rabbit! “I Love a Rainy Night” is repeated over 30 times if I remember correctly. A band mate of mine counted them once long ago when it was a hit for Eddie Rabbit.

John Wayne uttered the word "pilgrim" 21 times in "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" co-starring Jimmy Stewart. I'd love to name a band PILGRIM 21.

Hi.

One verse repeated throughout entire song. And it works great here.

Some people hate this song. I think it’s wonderful.

There are some songs, where a usually typical, hackneyed and clichéd sentiment is plainly expressed, that just carry an emotional truth. They transcend the corny.

I like Phil Collins and his era of leading Genesis. Good singer, great drummer, defined a decade due to “his sound” on drums (which can be annoying, but he has to be given credit/blame).

But dang it if he doesn’t repeat a line over and over and over and over—especially on his solo stuff.

I mean, he was rich enough to buy some more lyrics…that outro could drive Ghandi to advocate violence.
