This is the one for me. People of all ages, genders and colours united with common chant in coda.

Trivia: In album version Lennon says ”fuc*ing h*ll” at 2:58. Wrong chord, perhaps.

    The Byrds..chestnut mare
i can identify with that song deeply
its so similar to a tale i have from being a kid growing up in the backwoods of north yorkshire.
had a hard time as a kid..used to walk home from school via fields with horses
a dapple pony used to wait for me at fence...so i started feeding and fussing it...eventually coaxed it over by a wall...jumped on it...and....it just stood there
farmer saw this came running over somewhat concerned for my safety...it had never had a saddle on it...he asked if i would like to be there when they saddlebroke it...bloomin thing didnt like that...but was happy to trot around with me on its back...went back a few days later...dapplegrey had been sold on...i was a bit upset for a week
everytime i hear that song i well up....and im not one to boohoo about anything normally

Not just the lyrics but the genius of the arrangement....those guitar parts and the strings!

Runrig's rousing live version of Loch Lomond (1991) has always made me instantly Scottish (which I'm pretty sure I'm normally not) and a sorry little mess cutting onions, but heck if lovely Ella and this darned sappy video doesn't make me bawl like a child every time. Some of the seaside and field cuts looking a good bit like Point Lobos State Natural Reserve (Carmel) partially doing an additional number on me, as a California native that I'd still like to think I am.

I'm also happy to forgive the use of (Irish) uilleann pipes in the beginning ;)

(Especially when I think of the scene from Forrest Gump where it’s played)
