Pena's wikiP page sez that some years most of his income was royalties from Jet Airliner . . . gotta say, tho, that for a long time i kind of agreed with you about Miller's version, but recently, i've started relistening, and man did Miller have like the cleanest tone . . .

I HATE rock & roll songs about rock & roll. The worst - "Rock & Roll Never Forgets".

"We Built this City" - I don't even consider that a real song, more like a Chamber of Commerce blurb written by a committee of middle-aged civic boosters. Oh wait...

To me this is all about the spirit of the 80ies. (that's when I packed my radio away in the attic)

I had to hear this song about 20 times a day while I worked at Circuit City back then. Like an ice pick straight into the ol' timpanic membrane.

I could go on for hours about how this song makes me violently sick, but I’ve reached my limit just typing this.

    but for me this one-
    [IMG]
    One, because of this movie.
Two, because I've seen too many people who can't dance 'dance' to this at weddings.
Three, over-played on any Oldies station ad-nauseum.

    Lit "My Own Worse Enemy"
Looked it up as I didn't know who sang it, but I hear it often. And just one time was too many

“I Can’t Stand It” by Eric Clapton. EC was a big early influence on me but this song just goes on and on.

“Thunderstruck” by AC/DC. I love me some AC/DC but I can’t turn this off fast enough. The vocals are too grating to me.

Thanks for reminding me. If that song comes on anywhere I will push people out of the way to make my exit. It's instant torture. If I hear more than 10 seconds of it I will probably start breaking things.

I can’t believe 8 pages of posts and no one has mentioned, “Benny and the Jets”? What’s wrong with you people? I scramble for the off button the moment I hear the mis-recorded first note (I turned off the volume before grabbing the link, so it would not ruin the rest of my day):
