    They're calling time for exercise
    Round her Majesty's hotel
The maid'll hose the room out
    When I'm gone
    I never knew such luxury
    Before my verdict fell
    Four walls, washbasin, prison bed

How about a bluegrass “Prisoner’s Song” from David DAWG Grisman? There’s others on this as well.

Elvis and early rock and roll was a bit before my time and I always thought it was corny. Jailhouse Rock on the other hand just struck me as creepy even before I figured out why.

    Here are my entries:

I knew the song, but never really knew that much about Huddie Ledbetter until I read all of the James Lee Burke novels where he discusses Led Belly and when the Lomaxes came out to Angola Prison to record him.

Not exactly jail or prison, but the process of going there. And entertaining. My brother had the 45 when I was young
