song with double stop ?

hello everyone,

i m looking for a few country songs with double stops in them to steal some licks and practice mine... not too slow, and not too fast... so if you have a few names, i ll gladly listen to those songs. thanks a lot !

Dave Edmunds - Queen of Hearts? But basically nearly every country song has some 3rd or 6ths in it.

Not really country, but the first 2 that come to mind are

Margaritaville

The intros on both are classic double stops

I suggest find Kenny Vaughan's album "V." He is a Nashville-based guitarist who plays with Marty Stuart. It has both vocal and instrumental tracks. But so much of the fills are double-stops (usually with the B-Bender). Honestly, most involve playing the fifth of the chord on the 1st string and starting in the same fret on the 2nd string, but then bending that string up a whole step (making it the major third of the chord).

But in general, one recommendation is learn how to play a scale on just ONE string, and then learn the same scale on an adjacent string above or below the first one. Put the two together. A lot of double-stop licks are based on harmonizing a scale up and down the neck.
