I wrote this song before covid-19 about a bandmate - the singer on this tune - who had an impressive positive attitude while kicking leukemia's ass. I'm playing bass and some rhythm guitar.

    Nice one

    uplifting track thanks for posting.

Very few post their music I think they are scared to. And very few listen to people’s own track posts here so well done for sharing and being creative.

Nice guitar work. A little Robert Cray. That’s a good thing! I think the chorus needs more support and lift.

    suggestions.

More backing vocals on the chorus. Pref a couple of ladies if poss to spread the frequencies. Tambourine on the chorus. The drum fills are a little stilted they could be improved by simplification.

    Well done for your creativity.

no problem very best with your projects

Shamelessly, I post my own freshly minted track here. a Couple of us in the band did this. Totally different vibe. We did this in lockdown too. Happy to hear any thoughts on the production.

I love bass with a pick and Rickenbacker guitars so this is very cool! The video is very well done and the production of the song is fantastic - really sounds like a tune on the radio. Were the guitars and bass recorded direct or thru mic's? If direct - what did you use for the tones? Killer!

Thank you very much. Feel free to comment on YouTube as you wish.

That tone can only be achieved by carefully looking at my dear old 1969 VoxAC30 (pic below) while in fact using a digital model of an AC30 in the DAW. I'm using the Yamaha THR100 HD head for the tones. Just used pedalboard compressor to squish it. The DAW is simple: Reason 11 with a Scarlett 2i2. All live instruments except Drums a combination of EZDrummer2, my own playing / recording and sampling and programming. The Drums take the most time

Just for you For you, here's a wee still from the vid shoot.
