    Hey Everyone,

I'm in the process of putting two new Teles together from scratch. One is HH and the other is HS (PAF in the bridge and Tele single-coil in the neck). I've been putting some thought into the shielding and was wondering what you'd think of the ideas below.

First, for the HH guitar, would it make sense to shield the electronics cavity, all the way to the output jack, to keep noise out of the signal wires?

Second, for the SH guitar, I figure that the neck pickup is already shielded because it's covered, so just shielding the wires on their way to the electronics cavity, as well as the cavity itself, would be enough for this guitar.

Yes? No? What do you think?

Yeah, shield the cavities. Pretty much anywhere that there is no shield, get it covered. Most humbuckers have shielded wire. If yours doesn't, ime it should be shielded somehow. OMMV.
