Many thanks for posting - oh GOD, I want that vintage hotroad telecaster. I love the firebird neck sound. Oh boy, gonna have to sell it to the missus. Please tell me that this isn't a custom shop (ie expensive) model.

    Cheers

it's not a custom shop. Just like the 52 reissue with some special twists...probably about $1500 to $1600 to start

All I have to say about the Palo Escrito is:

    Lovely to look at
    A marvel to hold
    But how it plays
Is the story to be told

I'm not always sold on pretty guitars. It's a bit too showy for my taste.

I think it's very tasteful, a lot of pretty guitars look best on the wall, but that one looks like it would look better round my neck.

    Thanks austintele and OutlawSteph1975,

Agree with J-Man, too rich for my blood. Hopefully will release a MIM version that I can modify with Duncan pickups.

    Oh well, continue dreaming.

    Cheers

Wow, I would not have noticed the Tele headstock in a million years, but you are correct, it is. You may not be able to make it out in this pic. If you want a full res, unmolested pic, just PM me and I'll email it to you. You are also correct about it being a Yuri S. Masterbuilt.

I almost had the red sparkle CS in my coat and out the door when I was distracted by the wall full of Gretsches.

<<She's just a girl trying to make a couple bucks as a model, perfect in her own right. It is not a crime to be rude, it's just obnoxious.>>

    +1

Most of the time I just shrug my shoulders and move on if someone's a little crude here. Sometimes you gotta make a stand. I think she's beautiful. It's what's in your heart that really counts anyway. My .02.

    Kindly, hank

What a if man were making a "guitar face" and showing a little teeth and gums? Would it be fair to criticize that? Is there some sort of double standard operating here, a chivalrous (I'm using this in place of a more inflammatory term) notion that a woman should be spared this criticism?

Correct me if I'm wrong: She's a "model" working a guitar booth, hired because it is believed her sex appeal will attract customers. We're in Hooters territory, as far as base, lowest-common-denominator marketing techniques are concerned.

If I were in the business of coaching models, I would certainly tell her to keep that upper lip down and not to show so much teeth and gums. Given the circumstances, it's a fair criticism. It may be rude to say she "stinks" (which I did not do), but I can't see how it's out of line to say "Me no like" and point out why, when others are saying, "Hot damn! She's so purdy!"
