A few pics that I took today at the NAMM show.
Thanks a ton!!!! Those are great.
Are you going back?
Thanks csapo. Yes, I'll be there tomorrow also.
Great pics, many thanks. If possible, any chance you might have any pics of the relic strats there at the Fender booth? There's a John Cruz #1, a Lake Placid Blue and a Sunburst/maple neck strat among others. They were all just to the right of the Andy Summers Tele. Thanks again.
Wow, those Palo Escritos look nice!
This looks like one serious excuse to do damage to your credit card.
Thanks for the pictures. If you go back, maybe you could check to see if that resonator Tele has a biscuit or spider cone and whether Fender intends to market it.
Call me crazy but that is beautiful!
I love that Escrito tele too! Same allure as the Rosewood Tele of the 70's, but different enough that it's not a knock-off, but it's own beast.
I agree...thats a beautiful look... I wonder if that wood is plentiful enough to make more than just 1 or 2 custom shop guitars..
I think i am IN LOVE !!!
PLEASE tell me that Tele is NOT a custom (one-off/super expensive) model !!!
What do you folks think of the '72 John5 sig model ?
Oh, and thanx for the pix, they are all of great quality !
What's the #1 look like? I probably have it but don't remember what it looks like. Here are the other two you asked about. Here is the CS Rosewood Tele too.
jwells, I'll check to see if it's a biscuit or spider cone. I'll have to ask one of the Fender guys, I don't know anything about resonators. I'll see if they plan on producing it.
BrianF, I'll double check today, but memory tells me the Palo Escrito's are production MIM guitars. I know they aren't CS. The top looks like a laminate to me. I'll get better pics of the tops and sides today.
Sirjack, the resonator Tele is a CS.
That Palo Escrito model could be a hit. I wonder if they would come in under a thousand? I guess it depends on the cost of the wood. I like the Resonator and the Andy Summers model as well. I even like the racing stripes on the strats. It's reminiscent of the Competition Series Mustangs of the 60's. Thanks much for the pix, RelicStrat.
RelicStrat .................. Upon closer examination of the picture, I see that it is a biscuit cone. I have come up with a few other questions.
1. Is the body regular Telecaster size or is it larger?
2. Is is solid body or hollow body.
3. Is that screen just for show or does it actually serve as a port for the cone.
4. Are there holes in the back of the body.
It has been available for a month or so. Dave's Guitars had one or two, but they are gone now. I'd love to know how many were produced?
Drum City still has it listed as available, $669 w/o case.
Scroll down most of they way to "Limited Edition"
the rosewood tele looks pretty hot
Great pics thanks for posting them.
Here's the picture of that one.
Here's some more:
MUST... NOT... BUY.
DO... NOT... NEED.
