JULIA still upset
I sent him this reply:
I am not harassing you, I am asking a legitimate question you state in the listing:
"The white string holder is made of Real ivory not plastic. I took lots more pictures and here is the link."
as you may or may not know
"The sale of African elephant ivory items across state lines (interstate commerce) is prohibited, except for items that qualify as ESA antiques and certain manufactured or handcrafted items that contain a small (de minimis) amount of ivory and meet specific criteria."
All I am asking is if you have the ESA paperwork?
He then replied:
I could not find a copy of this guitar anywhere on the internet. why don't you show me mr. know it all.
So I just sent him this:
You are avoiding the Ivory but since you asked
and yes I reported the listing as well.
From "Julia's" profile:
"Ebay bidders are very important to me,and I believe that the customer is always right. I thrive in excellent costumer service and keeping all my bidders content. IT TAKES MORE HUMAN ENERGY TO BE ANGRY SO,USE LESS AND KEEP HAPPY! jujusales"
I almost feel like buying it and starting a poop storm....
even if this person is a complete idiot i think that tele looks super cool lol sorry, i would buy it just for that bridge!
Seller preemptively using the " I know nothing about guitars defense."
Excellent Costumer Service... just in time for Halloween!!
Well, since the listing was in California, and the listing was fraudulent and stupid, and since the entire thread was created to have some light humor at the expense of the seller...maybe the real chapeau de cul isn’t us...
I was given a fugly looking early Japan made sg lookalike back in the early 80s and it sounded awesome. Some of those old Japan made guitars do have the vintage sound like the brand names they are based on. I don't know that I could get over that string tree, truss rod cover and oversized tuner buttons though.
@warrant that's brilliant
Yep I'm the op , I may be ugly but I aint no American .
I can't think of a redder flag. It didn't stop the guy from making some big claims about value and scarcity.
Knows nothing about guitars but his expert is 100 percent its a 1960 telecaster
Noice! I learn so much here.
Which may be the reason why the bids are in the $ 160.00s.
What is all this defensive stuff from California coming from? I'm in CA all the time - and I can always find a redneck when I need one. And that's a good thing.
In which case, MOJO is severely over-priced!
You do get people that collect old Japanese stuff but after having to struggle playing stuff like that as a teen in various bands etc I wouldn't even give it house room .
Don't be so hard on the poor guy.
Anyone with half a brain can see it's not a Fender tele from any era, he isn't fooling anyone.
Plus, if he really thought it was a rare 50's guitar, would he start the biding at $25.99.
PS - I actually like the guitar, though it is a bit beat up.
Saw one of these on the SF Craigslist for $50. Someone beat me to it.
I'd not buy this MIJ for $160+? though.
Shhhhh.... you’re gonna give their secret away, all us folks in the rest of the country are supposed to believe California is only made up of Hollywood type people
