Do the 9mm pots save you much space? I've been wanting to play around with them.
Oh yes, they do allow you to fit way more than the 12 or 16mm pots. They're shallower,, and the rectangular shape lets you get right up against the sides of the enclosure. Accurate templates are a must!

Took me awhile but the Tube Screamer mini is rocking, asymmetric clipping and input/output filters are tweaked, otherwise it’s a stock TS. 3C33E35E-37DC-4E66-A3DC-574FF07CFDFC.jpeg

Very nice work. I don't have the patience to deal with those 1590a boxes. A 1590b is the smallest I'll mess with, but I prefer 125b so I can use top mounted jacks. How sturdy are those 9mm pots?

The 9MM pots are good so far and have the advantage of being sealed without an extra cover. I've also seen them more often in commercial effects pedals on the market.
