Some days I just can't believe how good Van the Man is!

We saw him play on the day we got married. Did an excellent job.

He’s a great singer in that he has a really strong sense of swing and he knows how to drive a band. Even on slower tunes he has a great sense of time and how to be ahead and behind the beat effectively

There are lots of accounts of him being a nasty entitled jerk, enough so that at least some of it must be true. You’d think that having been rewarded with wealth and fame, he’d have room for a little graciousness, but apparently not.

The Belfast community he grew up among—the paraders, the sash wearers— is a nasty bunch. He obviously has always been searching for some kind of escape but it hasn’t given him peace.

You either like him or you don't. Where it says van Morrison, there is also van Morrison inside. He has found his style and good fellow musicians are implementing it. As a musician, I take my hat off especially before the CD "Hymnes to the silence". Really great craftsmanship. I don't waste any thought on the person himself.I don't live with him.

Mark Knopfler plays the solo on “Cleaning Windows”.

I think “Caravan” at The Last Waltz was peak Van.

Chris Michie played lead on Cleaning Windows, Mark played rhythm. Love the song.

I'm a big fan, but his album "Veedon Fleece" is probly in my top 5 albums ever. It's his equivalent to Beck's "Sea Change", and I can't think of an album I like more for late night listening.
