    Long story short..

2 weeks ago notifications come out from BC Hydro that our power is to be cut monday night at 21:00 till Tuesday 07:00 to allow for a replacement of a power pole , fine I book the day off work to be home to ensure every thing is properly shut down ,and as a precaution to the fact we wont have any power or alarm clocks for me to be at work for 04:00 AM. All is good

schedules come out wednesday for the next week , time is granted.
thursday last week at 16:00 a phone call from Hydro states we recinded the power outage to a different date TBD , great I got 3 days off in a row I can use it (sunday , Monday , Tuesday)

I wake this Am happy as a clam I have 3 projects planned for this AM
    1) is a build for for a rack for the mini moog clones (2) of them

2)use my new desoldering gun to remove broken pots off of a Mackie FX 8 Mixer

    3) have my kid clean up the dog mines scattered around the back yard

get up beautiful sunny warm day at 07:00 , I gather the matterial for the build , transfer my plans to the board check twice ,

stop make a coffee sit down at the computer ( yes, this very one) the power goes out , brown out , then black out......gone

this means no power tools , saws drills etc.

not one to let this slow me down I pull out the hand tools , Small wood saw, Japanese flat saw, and small exacto fine tooth saw, step out on to the patio to start the cuts , just as the snow starts to fall (WTF) not just snow flakes , but that wet sloppy coastal stuff they get in Vancouver and its comming down , Hell I saw Robins 3 days ago.
I complete the rough cuts, come inside to do the detail cuts , saw, sand file now time to drill wait I have no power , again not to let things block my path , I take a T handle place a drill bit in the chuck and turn profusely , I have 16 holes to drill , double check the holes for accuracy , first one , perfection , second one again perfect , I apply a little pressure and BLAM , the drill bit pushes through the board and proceeds to slice a 1 " cut right at the point where my first and second finger meet, no blood ...whew wash and place TP around the cut to continue. All holes drilled in perfect alignment.

test fit perfect ! now to paint , ( No flat black paint left)........ tomorrow
power came back fully at 15:30 the outage had nothing to do with Hydro's plans

Behringer model D's they sound increadably close to my mini moog I had in the 70's , but a lot more stable , these have midi and CV/Gate ins and outs for about 350.00 each at Long & Mcquade , Behringer also have a Korg ms 20 Clone , Pro 1 Prophet clone and their own called a nuetron all about the same price range and all are eurorack loadable

thanks for the thoughts on the push drill, I check that out!

You used the precious paper on a mere drill hole in your hand?
