    Thanks PJ and AJ.

PJ, I may just go with re-issue threaded saddles since so much of my hardware is not original anyway. What is your source for re-issues?

AJ - glad you like the thread (and the results!)

Thanks Mike. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Welcome to the group. This is a great place. The people here are really knowledgeable and willing to share. I would not have tackled this project with out these folks.

Bruce....I get the threaded salddles at AllParts. They're p/n BP_0024-001. Go to www.allparts.com. I've used these sadles, so feel free to
PM me if you have any questions on 'em.

Hey Bruce...still looking killer! BTW, there's another source for threaded stell saddles you might want to check. I found them at GuitarPartsResource. And,
I've also seem them pop-up on eBay out of 60s reissues from time to time.
The Fenders might give you the most authentic repro of look & tone, though.
And, remember, every now and then, throw a new photo of that killer guitar up for all of us to enjoy!

Thanks for looking again guys. This one's not seen the inside of a case since I got her done.

Thanks for info on saddles PJ. I actually have a set of threaded ones to go in her soon. Probably next string change. I'll see about getting some new pics out too.

Nice composite shot Jack. It was a long road from one shot to the other!

This was a very cool thread indeed !! It is just how much time / money and/or effort you want to put in it ... A good luthier can fix anything.... See my before and after on this 68 (I took of the perloid back guard in the middle pic so you can see how nice the routing was repaired) - the refin work was by Mark Jenny

BAW's project-thread was by far one of my absolute favorites on the TDP. He really brought that vintage Tele back to life. Leo is smiling down on you, I'm sure.

Nice project for sure.. I would forget about putting it back to original condition. I would refurbish it the way it has been modified. Refinish the Body and Neck and REPLACE all hardware and new pickups. Not that big of a project if you go that route.
