Solid State weirdness.

    I picked this up about a year ago. It powers up and I get a little bit of noise when the speaker is being plugged in. I think these were pretty cool amps. Anyone out there work on something like this?

    You've run it without the speaker? Likely blew the outputs, whatever else might be wrong with it.

    for a cat, you have a lot of cool gear.

    btw no matter how many times I see salad cat, it still makes me smile. I have no idea why.

    No the speaker was plugged in. It never has worked.

    Solid state amps are not as sensitive to no load as are tube amps..fwiw and of no importance since strato50 did not try to run the amp without speakers. As for the functions of the amp, have you searched for the schematic? Is that Swedish company in business? a solid state audio tech should be able to get that going. If not in Port Arthur then you should be able to f8nd someone in Houston that would work on that one.

    My cat has no gear at all so I’m equally impressed. My cat only has two bowls (food/water) and has 3 dogs to tame just to eat and drink in peace.
