Soldering station options

    I have the hakko 936. It's great heats up to temp in about 20 seconds and stays at temp. Pleasure to use.

    What ever you get get as good of soldering gear you can if you plan on doing a lot of it. If you just solder something everyonce in a while one of the weller trigger guns is fine. If you own a horde of spare capacitors and misilanious components. Your going to want a nice easy to use station. I need a desoldering gun. Have never been able to afford one. I use one of them turkey bastor looking things and when your working on a pcb and need to remove 100 caps it makes life a nightmare.
