It's hurricane and fire season. If you are faced with evacuating and you could only choose one guitar to take (of yours) what would it be and why.

I have decided that I would take my Fender nylon travel axe so I would have something to play. It's not my best guitar but I know I would have a lot of fun with the insurance money.

I have five electrics and a nice Martin. I would take the Martin.

This one. 'Cause its the most expensive and arguably the best one I have.

...but I would leave the wife...and get five more guitars in the front seat, so.

I live on an island and evacuation is a non-option. In the IRMARIA event we could have gone to PR and have gotten nailed. In our case evacuation is not an option

I know folks that left STJ because their homes and jobs were gone in Irma. They came here to STX and got nailed again In Maria 12 days later

Wherever you live life can suck beyond belief. Accept it or move on. Make the best of your situation

I hardly ever play it anymore, but my 1961 Les Paul Jr that I bought in 1969. It has a lot of sentimental value, and even if insurance paid for it, I could never replace THAT ONE. All my other guitars can be replaced/replicated.....in fact, I could relatively easily re-build my #1.

Now that my sister and her husband had 15 minutes in the middle of the night to evacuate from the Santa Cruz complex fire and lost everything including their cat:(, I placed my two favorite guitars in their cases and will faithfully every fire season for now on.

Oh yeah, my custom order National Reso and my heavily modded MIK Epi Sheraton II

I just bought a Ric 620. I would have to take that.

Only One? Ok, Guitar Center. The other stores here are too small.

I would definitely take one of them, which one doesn't matter because I would miss the rest anyway.

My Taylor as it has Rosewood b&s and Spruce top. Sounds really great and I don't need an amp and electricity. It is a storm or fire now isn't it?

D-18. Sentimental value. Actually, it’s my most prized possession.

I have my '52 AV Re-issue tele, my 06 Mim tele, my Mustang, and Ibanez Acoustic, and a Oaha square neck (1930's 40's?) and a bunch of mandolins, fiddles and lap steels.

Easy choice, the 06 MIM tele. I've had it for a long time, and it's always the one I play the most. Just a good solid guitar that feels good and comfortable to me. Not the most expensive, or anything; just had it a long time and picking it up feels like wearing on a old pair of your favorite jeans.

    THIS is the correct answer!

( I have a similar collection of guitars, and even though it is a budget Martin, my old D-1 is my #1- a 'million' gigs and jams together!)

It's all just wood and wire, but I'd prob grab this, because last I knew, Dick Dale wasn't signing anything anymore
