It seems like a lot of folks say that the SD QP bridge tele pup is not trebly enough.
I see that many other people like it.
I have a tele with a soapbar in the neck position (8.2k) and a 'lil '59 in the bridge with 500k pots.
I'm NOT in love with the '59.
It's cool when cranked by itself for a rock solo but I am not getting the nice clear sound for chords with both pups on.
    I play chords a lot.
Would the quarter pounder work better than the '59 when paired with an 8.2k p90 ?
I don't use pedals much and my amps are NOT channel switching.

    Cheap

    "Dull & Lifeless" ??? :(
Isn't that kind of harsh ?
I'll bet you had 250k pots in your axe.
My soapbar is dull with a 250k.
    Love/Hate for the 1/4 # 'er.
    Thanks for the tip.
Maybe the 1/4 # 'er is overwound too much ?
There is a lot of love/hate when gfs is mentioned.
I don't want to spend $90 on a pup though.
    Thanks

To me it didn't sound any of those things. Actually I really liked it for rock. Don't think it had any twang though, but that's not what I play.

Yeah, the 1/4 lb er isn't dull and lifeless, its hot and lively. Its too overwound for 250K pots. Use 500s and it will come to life. When people describe it as muddy, I think that part of the reason is the wider poles smear the sound and give a less sharp attack. Its a great p/up, but you won't get the traditional Tele twang from it.

    Twang

It's not a traditional tele anyway since it's got a soapbar (8.2k) in the neck.
That 1/4 # er is cheap compared to the p90,tele size bridge pups I've seen.
    $58 instead of $75 - 90.

Get the tapped, and put in a push/pull or push/push pot then your parallel combos will really sparkle.Full on by its self it'll kick ass.

I have this combo, me gusta.

Very good for hard rock, heavy metal and punk.
