the thing is if you win the lottery in Canada you Never pay tax on the initial amout but the accrued intrest is considered income and subject to taxes, so the principal amount is tax free ,for ever,

so drop that amount into a low interest account and any thing you wish to do for people you wish to help, do it from the interest, then when you die leave it all to a home for wayward canaries , because all your relatives and any body you ever met will crawl out of the wood work and be your best friend, just like all the people who disappeared when times got rough

I want a car that runs forever, but if it dies, it's easily repaired with off-the-shelf stock parts that don't need a manufacturer's "Special Tool" to remove or install. I never cared about fast or flashy, so long as it carries me and the little wife wherever we choose reliably and comfortably, I ain't too picky.

This one can do it all.

Actually, since insurance is so high on those cars, get a high dollar car , sell it,
get a nice comfortable K car.

This was up for sale a while back for $700,000. Excellent condition except for a few minor blood stains in the back.

I instantly thought of the early '60s Ferrari LM 250, but alas, it would not be able to make it up our road where we live today, so I think I'd settle for the Devel Sixty: IMG_4092.JPG

    No, not neighborhood. In general.

When I do drive to work, sometimes traffic travels a bit fast. I went in two weeks ago; traffic on the highway was cruising at about 85 in a 60 zone. It is "run or be run over".

Now, if some agency is patrolling that section of road, they need to pick a car to pull over.

Officer: "Hmmmm, let me see; the pickup trucks, the SUVs, the sedans, oh oh oh oh! The sports car. Laser locked, speed registered, and I am after it!"

I don't want to be the easy target / low hanging fruit / the one who is most likely to be singled out in a crowd.

Or maybe that is the German half of me I inherited from my Father's side of the family. My Great Grandfather came over, but man do I exhibit some of the stereotypes.
